Frequently asked questions.
1. When should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by June 5, 2025. We kindly ask you to confirm as early as possible so we can finalize arrangements. We will truly miss your presence if you’re unable to join us, but kindly let us know by submitting your RSVP. If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided, it will automatically be marked “no.” Thank you for your understanding.
2. Do I need a visa to travel to France?
For guests coming from outside the EU, such as the U.S. or Mexico, you can stay in France for up to 90 days without a visa. France require your passport to be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
3. What should I wear to the wedding?
The dress code for the wedding is formal attire or black tie optional, meaning women should wear floor length dresses and men should wear suits or formal tuxedos. Please see tab “Schedule & Attire” for some inspiration.
4. Will transportation be provided to the wedding venue?
Transportation will not be provided, so we kindly ask guests to arrange their own. Ubers and taxis are readily available in the area, and we will also coordinate with a local taxi company to ensure availability for pickups to and from the venue.
5. What will the weather be like?
In September, the weather in Aix-en-Provence typically ranges from the high 70s to low 80s°F during the day, with cooler evenings around 63-66°F. Please note the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, so we recommend bringing a warm coat for night time.
6. Can I bring my children?
We love your kids, but we have chosen to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration with an exception to those in the bridal party.
7. Can I bring a plus one?
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one they will appear on your e-invite.
8. How do I get around in France?
France has an excellent public transportation system. You can easily get around by metro, walking or rental car. Taxis and ride-sharing apps like Uber are also available in larger cities.
9. What are important things to consider/ bring to France?
Train tickets: Make sure to purchase your train tickets in advance to Aix-en-Provence to save some money. Please see tab “Stay & Travel” for more information.
Adapters/Converters: France uses a different plug system, so be sure to bring adapters for your devices.
SIM Card: You can purchase a SIM card at any phone store for approximately $10-20, which will make it easier to access Wi-Fi throughout your stay.
Hot Tools: If you plan to bring hot tools like a blow dryer or curling iron, be aware that they may have different power requirements in France. Adapters may not always suffice for voltage conversion. If you love your hot tools, check the voltage compatibility or consider buying one in France, which is usually quite affordable.
Pickpockets: France has a low overall crime rate, but pickpocketing can be an issue, particularly in crowded areas. To stay safe, avoid keeping your cellphone in your jacket pockets. Instead, opt for a closed purse or backpack that you keep in front of you at all times. Stay vigilant, especially on the metro and at popular tourist spots like the Eiffel Tower.
Tipping: Tipping is not a common practice in France, so you can enjoy a tip-free vacation! Service charges are included in your bill, allowing you to relax and focus on your experience.
